Sei Giorni: Six Days for an adventure you’ll never forget
Roll with history
Sophistication and chivalry embedded and of course, Vespa’s most potent engine.
A common misconception is that the percentage of scooter riders and bikers would be at par but it isn’t the case. There exists a certain form of allegiance when it comes to Vespa.
Vespas are cool, as always. They offer the easiness of a scooter with sufficient power and performance to compete with a motorcycle — at least in the city. This duality makes the limited-edition Vespa gtv 300 sei giorni especially appealing.
Inspired by the winning history of Vespa’s most famous competition bike, the Sei Giorni ( the two-wheeled legend that won 9 gold medals) II Edition brings together the very best in engine technology with a retro style that appeals to everybody.
Changing with the world
What isn’t unique to the scooter segment, but somewhat unique to Vespa, are the various storage areas and conveniences like the USB charger and phone storage in the front fairing. It is also noteworthy that there is a large under-seat storage space that lifts out without any extra tools to allow excellent access to the engine. The under-seat storage area also has an electronic lock, making secured when parked. There is also a fold-out bag hook, which makes a perfect accessory for grocery shopping.
Power unleashed
Part of the Sei Giorni’s appeal is its sheer power. It uses Vespa’s latest and greatest engine: the 278-cc, single-cylinder, four-valve HPE. It also uses a CVT means there’s no need to worry about a clutch or shifting gears This engine was introduced in 2018 as the most potent Vespa engine ever, thanks to its 23.8 horsepower. Though it doesn’t sound like a lot, it’s enough to confidently push the Sei Giorni to 75-80 mph, though 85 mph is a significantly bigger ask.
A big plus point for scooters in general is their fuel efficiency. But the most powerful Vespa ever, fuel economy though not bad is at 73.4 miles per gallon.
Extreme Road presence
The Sei Giorni rolls on large 12-inch alloy wheels, which gives it more grip, helping it to reach freeway speeds without hassle. The wheels are matte-black and featured a red stripe that is unique to the Sei Giorni. The matte-gray-blue paint with racing numbers, an analog gauge, a tinted flyscreen, and the masterpiece, an awesome fender-mounted headlight that also provides a unique look to the scooter.
Pure Comfort
The Sei Giorni has a very luxurious and soft single-seat saddle that helps ride out the bumps that the scooter’s suspension can’t quite manage with, and due to the solid build quality, there is a little vibration that makes its way up through the seat, handlebar, and footboard. One may not necessarily want to ride hundreds of freeway miles on one of these, but it shouldn’t be a behemoth task if one wishes to.
The Vespa Sei Giorni II looks like a neat hybrid of motorcycles and scooters. It provides the easy option of cutting through heavy traffic and it’s fun. Its form factor and looks may not be to everyone’s taste, but nothing is for everyone.
The price factor is not very cheap but considering the Vespa brand, its power, and its performance, it is a fair deal in my experience. It is a powerful machine that’s a perfect blend of power and style and every motor aficionado out there must look into this beast and can seriously consider purchasing one.
